I acted as the lead designer on this project, owning the full design process from research through execution. I explored relevant UI and UX patterns to ensure the new modals were both effective and sustainable within the product. Working independently, I made key UX decisions to break down complex modals into clearer, more concise steps that were easier to understand and use. A core focus was creating intuitive interactions that required no guidance, allowing users to complete tasks confidently and efficiently.

Modals were a key focus area, as the existing ATS relied on fixed-size pop-ups that lacked flexibility and did not follow sustainable UX principles. This made them rigid to extend, difficult to scan, and often hard for users to understand.
The redesign went beyond a visual refresh and focused on redefining the underlying UX rules. Complex modals were broken down into smaller, purpose-driven flows that were easier to comprehend and interact with. This resulted in more flexible, scalable patterns that improved clarity, reduced cognitive load, and made the system easier to maintain and evolve over time.
